About Yala
Yala National Park spans 979 km² across the south-east, blending scrub jungle, grasslands, lagoons and beaches. It is home to one of Asia’s densest leopard populations alongside elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles and over 200 bird species. A dawn or dusk jeep safari here is one of Sri Lanka’s great wildlife experiences.
