Sri Lanka is a year-round tropical destination, with different regions offering their best experiences at different times of the year. The south and west coasts, including Galle, Mirissa and Yala, are especially favourable from November to March, while the east coast, including Trincomalee, Pasikuda and Arugam Bay, is ideal from May to September. The Cultural Triangle can be enjoyed throughout the year, while the central highlands offer cool temperatures and beautiful scenery, particularly from January to April.
Do I need a visa?
Most visitors can easily arrange their Sri Lanka travel authorization online before arrival through the official ETA system. Many nationalities are currently eligible for a free 30-day tourist ETA, making the process simple and convenient.
